Parking Overview

The exciting events hosted at STAPLES Center often attract large crowds. It is recommended that you plan your trip before you leave home and allow extra time for unanticipated delays due to traffic congestion, road construction, etc. Always follow traffic safety precautions when traveling to and from events.

STAPLES Center Lots

Located in downtown Los Angeles, STAPLES Center is easily accessible from several major freeways and from a variety of public transportation options. There are 3,300 parking spaces at STAPLES Center-owned parking lots. View map

Nearby Parking Lots

More than 16,000 parking spaces are available within a seven to ten minute walk to the district. These lots are privately owned and operated. Parking at these lots provides an affordable option to guests within a short walking distance. Rates and hours of operation in these lots vary and are controlled by private management of the individual lots.

Parking Lot Hours of Operation

Parking LOT W (West Garage) and LOT E (East Garage) are open 6 AM - 2 AM DAILY (holiday hours may vary).

Parking LOT 1 and LOT C will open two and a half hours prior to the start of a STAPLES Center event. All other lots will open 90 minutes prior to the start of an event and will remain staffed 60 minutes after an event. No overnight parking or in-and-out privileges are permitted.

Prepaid Parking

Prepaid parking is available through STAPLES Center and Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE Box Offices, Ticketmaster outlets and online at Ticketmaster.com. When you purchase an event ticket, you may also purchase prepaid parking. Purchasing parking before an event is not only convenient, but it will allow you to plan your trip directly to your designated parking lot and avoid unnecessary delays in locating parking.

Disabled Parking

Designated parking is available for guests with disabilities. These spaces, including van-accessible spaces, are designated for vehicles displaying a current state-issued disability placard or license plate. Guest Services can provide further information regarding parking access for guests with disabilities. We may require proof of California ADA registration. Please contact Parking Services at (213) 765-6815.

No Parking/Tow Away Zones

Please observe the No Parking zones located throughout the district. Specifically, Chick Hearn Court (formerly 11th Street) between L.A. Live Way and Figueroa is designated as a No Parking/Tow Away zone. Violators will be ticketed and/or towed. If you wish to purchase tickets at the Box Office or to shop at Team LA, please park in Lot W.

Taxis, Buses and Limousines

Space for oversized vehicles is very limited, therefore we recommend that all oversize vehicles such as limousines, buses, RVs make arrangements 10 days prior to the event. Please call (213)765-6815 to obtain a prepaid parking pass.

Oversized vehicles will not be accepted in LOT 1. Space permitting, oversized vehicles may be taken in other lots but will be charged an additional fee. General parking for oversized vehicles is sold on a first come, first serve basis and usually fills quickly.

Designated Drop-off / Pick-up Areas

Please obey all posted signs when dropping off and be aware that LAPD will enforce the "No Stopping" signs posted throughout the district. There are areas designated for drop-off and pick-up. Taxis, Buses and Limousines must drop-off and pick-up passengers in these designated areas. The pick-up/drop-off areas are:

• The white zone on Figueroa St. (Southbound) between 11th St. and 12th St.
• The white zone on Chick Hearn Ct. (Eastbound) between L.A. Live Way and Georgia St.

Tailgating Prohibited

Tailgating is prohibited in any of the L.A. LIVE and STAPLES Center parking lots.
